A temporary community-serving project

About This Project

The Fox Valley Tornado Recovery Hub was created in response to the July 2026 tornado and its aftermath. It serves the wider Fox Valley, with special attention to Menasha as an especially hard-hit area.

What the site does

  • Organizes established resources and public listings by recovery need.
  • Links to official, dated updates.
  • Publishes public community requests and concrete offers.
  • Provides free recovery and preparedness guides.
  • Gives posters a private-token link to edit, renew, or remove listings.
  • Reviews reported exceptions when reasonably possible.

What the site does not do

  • Dispatch emergency services.
  • Guarantee a response or successful match.
  • Verify every person, claim, business, service, price, license, or outcome.
  • Perform background checks.
  • Handle payments, donations, or fundraising.
  • Provide legal, medical, insurance, structural, or contractor advice.
  • Act as a social network, comment forum, or rumor board.

Public by design

The listing content and contact method a poster submits are the same information the public and site operator can see. The operator does not receive a hidden private intake version of a listing. Limited technical security records and privately submitted reports are separate and are explained in the Privacy Notice.

Community Safety Notice

Human decency matters. Caution still matters.

This website is not pre-screened or continuously monitored. Public listings are submitted directly by community members and rely heavily on honesty, good judgment, and human decency.
